Dr. Adel Marzougui from ANSYS visits Baden Academy Future Engineers

The Baden Academy Future Engineers Club greeted Dr. Adel Marzougui for a wonderful conversation about the future in the creation of engineering designs with simulation software.

You should go check it out.  Dr. Adel works at ANSYS which is a software company.  He came to talk to us about the software that Ansys makes. He compared it to the Tinkercad software that we use in the lab.

I was really excited to learn something new!  Dr. Adel explained if we want to go into a career in this type of program we would need to know the coolest thing about what he does on his job – he stays curious!

Dr. Adel is constantly changing the software and it is getting better and faster and more sophisticated. He never stops learning and he needs to be curious every day he goes into work.  Who knew you could get a job playing with software like we get to do in our club!

Dr. Adel made us stretch our design thinking.  He talked about how engineers not only design a car but then they have to design how that car is assembled in a plant with line workers.  If we can design something in our software, it can be assembled and manufactured not only with a 3D printer but from a variety of manufacturing techniques.  Everything we can imagine with our software we can then imagine how to make it real.

Anything you can imagine you can go on to build. That’s one of the things we love most about being in Future Engineers is we have to constantly use our very creative imaginations.

Check out a video from ANSYS, the amazing software company Dr. Adel works at.
